Bryan John Appleby is a songwriter and folk artist working out of Seattle. He regularly tours the western states, performing both solo and with a band. Since moving to the Pacific Northwest from the Central Coast, Bryan has independently released a handful of albums, including last year’s self-produced Underwater Easy Breathing. He’s had the pleasure of touring with Damien Jurado, The Head and the Heart, Deep Sea Diver, Tomo Nakayama, Blitzen Trapper, and Bart Budwig and joined bills with Y La Bamba, Alice Sandahl (La Luz), Sera Cahoone, Pure Bathing Culture, and Adia Victoria. Bryan incorporates elements of psychedelia, wall-of-sound, classic cinema, shoegaze, tropicalia, and mid-century pop into his production. He also plays as a multi-instrumentalist in a variety of West Coast outfits including Gary V, Tomten, Fine Arts, and K Skelton.
